OUR FEES

How much will the AGOA consulting package cost and what is the timeline involved?

The costs of the feasibility study and business plan are $5,000 each. This payment is to be made upfront on signing of the Retainer agreement. Further costs of services are to be negotiated directly with our lead consultants.

How much will the overall package cost and what is the timeline involved?

It should be stated from the onset that these are standard package prices and may vary according to the amount of work required for each service. If you are interested in the Executive Search package please feel free to email our consultants. The Business Professional package below is the standard service package.

Professional Package:
.
Each payment takes place at least a month apart from one another, which has proved financially beneficial for our clients. Please reference our time line for when you can expect to pay Inkorpa for our services.
.
· $300 Due upon signing the retainer agreement for Resume Rewriting (upfront fee)
· $800 Due upon signing the retainer agreement for Transcript Evaluation to American standards (upfront fee)
· $3,000 Due approximately one month after signing of contract
.
L1 Corporate Package:
.
· $1,900 Due upon signing the retainer agreement (upfront fee)
· $630 INS Fees and Business Plan due on filing L1 visa (upfront fee)
· $2,000 Due upon the filing of L1 and L2 visas one month after signing the retainer
· $550 To register your company, two months after signing the retainer agreement
· $2,100 Due upon approval from INS, usually 3 to 6 months after filing
· $2,000 Due upon receipt of the Feasibility Study (optional fee)
.
If you are still not able to pay for these fees, Inkorpa does offer a loan structure that is available to our clients, or we can simply re-arrange our payment schedule to suit your individual needs. Please make sure to ask our consultants about these alternatives. If, however, you are pleased with the payment schedule above, feel free to email Inkorpa with a time and date that would suit you, so that we can phone you for your free consultation.

What is the minimum payment required to begin the Business Professional process?

The minimum upfront payment is $800. This includes your evaluation, which translates all your job experience, diplomas and degrees to American standards. The evaluation is seen as an asset as it equates your work experience and degrees or diplomas in your home country to the US equivalent.
.
Inkorpa prefers to apply for evaluations upfront, in case recruiters request such information. This successfully puts our client on a level playing field with their American competitors. Upon request, we can even send this report with your rewritten resume.
.
The way most clients think of the initial payment is that they have nothing to lose since both steps are assets that will always be needed. Also, once they start earning in dollars they basically pay the remaining fee off before the six-month period is over. Inkorpa is also working aggressively with placement agencies, so if you have what they are looking for, it is just a matter of days before you can start working.

LEGAL ISSUES

I want to open my own company in the US, are there any restrictions?

This is a complex question, owing to the varied business entities that are available. The Inkorpa consultants will make an individual assessment and give detailed advice as to which is the most suitable corporate entity.
.
This question is probably best answered but what a non-resident cannot open.
A non-resident cannot open an S-Corporation in the US. For more information, email or call Inkorpa for your free consultation!

If my spouse is issued with an H4 visa, can she work in the USA?

No, your spouse may not work in the US, the purpose of the H4 visa is simply to live in the US. However, the H4 visa does allow for the spouse to study in the US. If your spouse wishes to be employed in the US, then she will have to seek out the same routes that you used. Inkorpa does offer rebates for family members.

What help can I get from the US Embassy in South Africa?

IInkorpa does not recommend you dealing with the US Embassy in South Africa, owing to the plethora of recent reports denoting their poor services.
.
Once you sign on with Inkorpa all forms of visa applications are done by our staff in the US. This expedites the application process, guarantees the receipt of a visa and ensures that our clients are not involved in all the diplomatic details.

I have heard that H1B visas have a quota of visas that can be issued per year, is that true?

This is true, there is a quota of H1B visas issued per annum. In 2005 and 2006 respectively, the USCIS issued a quota of 65,000 H1B visas. The quota system begins the 1st October every year and if the quota is reached before the next year, then all unapproved applications elapse to the next year's quota. On a positive note though, owing to the recent economic situation in the US, H1B visa applications have diminished, so the probality of your application lapsing is small.

If I am issued with an L1 visa, what visa will my spouse be able to apply for?

If you have been approved for an L1 Visa, then your spouse may be issued with an L2 visa. These Visas have recently changed status to allow the prospective applicants to both live and work in the United States.

If a non-American resident comes to the US on a visitor's visa, is it legal for them to be here?

Legally, the applicant can visit the US, but is strongly advised not to work. The reason for this is because if the USCIS can prove that you are working here on your visitor's visa, then the entire filing for a work permit may be jeopardized.

Can I apply for a student visa, F1 and then an H1B visa afterwards?

Although this is not the most optimal scenario for a potential employee, it is not completely improbable to attain work status in the USA for F1 holders. On graduation, the employer will be responsible for proving why you would be in a more advantageous position than an American citizen. It should be noted, however, that the mere implication of a job offer from your employer is proof that you do meet these requirements.
.
After your employer has petitioned for you and you have attained H1B status, you too can employ the regular routes of immigration to attain legal permanent residency and finally, citizenship.
